Donald Holzschuh and Joseph Hildebrand started Hi-Ho Bottling in 1945 using Donald's sugar quota (he was one of the Greatest Generation, a WW2 veteran) and Hildebrand's sales experience honed at Plymouth Springs Bottling Company. The partners operated together until 1949, when Hildebrand sold his half to Holzschuh. The original Hi-Ho Bottling was then sold again in 1955 and ceased operations within the next decade.
A trip to the Plymouth Historical Society sparked something in Tyler Rezachek (an Iraq War veteran) in late 2023. He felt an instant connection to Holzschuh's story, both being veteran entrepreneurs. Several weeks later, Leonid Bortsov and Ryan Schroeder joined Hi-Ho Soda as partners, adding their experiences in soda making (Leo) and beverage packing/operations (Ryan).
Hi-Ho Soda is produced in Plymouth, using cans from Fort Atkinson, that were printed by a Milwaukee company, and filled in Oak Creek, all while using entirely Midwest ingredients.
We're the definition of local.
